Margret is a 45-year-old married woman supporting two grandchildren. She is a business woman who sells charcoal in Kajjansji. She has been involved in this business for the last four years, enabling her to meet some of her family’s immediate needs and pay her grandchildren’s school fees. School is not free in Uganda, where she and her family live as refugees.
Margret aspires to buy a lorry in the next five years to transport sacks of charcoal for retailing and to run the lorry as a business. She also dreams that the extra income she will raise from her charcoal business will be reinvested in a tailoring enterprise she also runs on the side.
Margret is requesting a loan to buy several sacks of charcoal for retail. This will make the difference for her, her child, and her grandchildren. You can help with this by making a loan as small as £10 to initiate Margret’s business venture and change their lives.
Thanks to our generous supporters, this loan is fully funded!
