Josephine, 38, works as a seamstress. She is a skilled worker and she would like to expand her business. She has more orders for school uniforms than she can meet. She will invest the loan funds into fabrics, materials, and a new sewing machine. This investment will help her diversify her work and serve a wider client base.
Josephine is a divorced mother of two (ages 17 and 14), and the children will soon be independent, although they are still in school. School in Uganda is not free. Before setting up her own business, she stayed at home with the kids and was very much dependent on her husband’s income.
Her future vision in her own words: “I will be happy, healthy, and my family will be living a productive life.”
Josephine aspires to open a store so she can take large orders of school uniforms from schools.
Thanks to our generous supporters, this loan is fully funded!
